A Monroe County man has been charged with the murder of his mother.

State police at Lehighton said Christopher Bazil Strachn, 21, of 1131 Creek Drive, Kresgeville, Polk Township, was arrested at his residence early Wednesday morning and charged with criminal homicide.Troopers said at 2:49 a.m. they responded to the home for a report of a domestic incident. Upon arrival they found Adrienne D. Strachn, 53, deceased inside the home.Her son was taken into custody without incident and charged.He was arraigned before on-call District Judge Colleen Mancuso, and committed to the county prison in Snydersville, without bail.The investigation into the incident is continuing, troopers said. The county district attorney's office and the coroner's office are assisting.A media source indicated the suspect has had mental health issues. Troopers did not indicate the manner of death.
