Two drivers involved in a crash in the Schuylkill County borough of Girardville, were cited. State police at Frackville said the accident occurred about 7:01 p.m. on Sunday, June 10, at the intersection of SR54 and Fifth St.

Troopers said Angela Smith, 28, of Shenandoah, was eastbound on 54 driving a 2000 Saturn SL1 while Thomas A. Brobst, 28, of Ashland, operating a 2010 Jeep Patriot, and attempting to make a left turn onto 54 from Fifth St.Troopers said Brobst pulled out into the path of Smith and a collision occurred. A passenger with Smith, a 4-year-old male in a child safety seat, sustained a minor injury and was taken to the Schuylkill Medical Center-S. Jackson St., Pottsville.Troopers cited Brobst for stop sign violation and Smith for a restraint system violation.
