Break-ins, theft incidents probed

State police at Lehighton reported investigating two burglaries and theft incidents.

Troopers said a residence at 171 Lower Valley Road, in Polk Township, Monroe County, was entered and removed were a radio and a DVD/VCR combination player. The incident occurred sometime between May 31 and June 5. The property is owned by William Lytle Kabasenche, 65, of St. Charles, IL.The residence of Sara Rae Strohl, 35, of 2365 Hahns Dairy Rd., Palmerton, was entered by unknown criminals who pushed an air conditioner through the master bedroom window to gain entry. Once inside they removed $33 in cash. The entry occurred sometime between 7:32 and 10:30 a.m. on June 6.Mark Wagner, 54, of Saylorsburg, reported someone entered his unlocked vehicle, which was parked in the area of 105 Rolling Meadows Drive, in Ross Township, Monroe County, and removed about $50 in cash. The incident occurred overnight of June 6-7.Jody Ann Swinkowski, 46, of 39 Behren's Rd., Jim Thorpe, Penn Forest Township, reported her unlocked Kia Specta was entered and removed was several winning scratch-off lottery tickets valued at $2. The incident occurred sometime between midnight and 4:30 p.m. on June 6.Two acts of criminal mischief is being probed.Guthrie Mitchell Jr., 26, of 3091 Pleasant Valley Drive, Kunkletown, Polk Township, reported someone sprayed black paint on his garage door. The incident occurred sometime between midnight and 9 a.m. on June 9.Leszek Lezon, 59, of Rockway, N.Y., reported someone took several small solar powered sidewalk lights from his property at 9350 Sherwood Drive, in Polk Township, and threw them on the ground breaking them.
