Jim Thorpe's Thursday "Date Night" begins tomorrow.

Jim Thorpe has been voted as one of the Top 10 Small Towns in the USA, by the Rand McNally/USA Today poll.To celebrate, the Jim Thorpe Chamber of Commerce hosts Thursday Evening Summer Date Nights, beginning June 7.The Chamber said in a release, "Summer evenings are exceptionally lovely in our area, and we feel that residents and visitors alike will enjoy a midweek night out, so we are adding some great things to do in addition to visiting our great restaurants, pubs, and shops. Every Thursday night at least one of our attractions will offer evening hours. "Crystal View Carriage rides, will be offered, as well as a tour of the Harry Packer Mansion on June 7 starting at 4 p.m.On the 14, featured are tours of The Old Jail at 6 and 7 p.m..The Asa Packer Mansion will be featured at 6 and 7 p.m. on June 21.On June 28, the Mauch Chunk Museum will have evening hours, and the Opera house will host a screening of the independent film classic, Cinema Paradiso.Drawings will be held for special prizes.
