Raised beds for blueberry and raspberry bushes are well under way and other raised beds are in the planning for next year.Butterfly programThe Western Pocono Women's Club is holding its monthly meeting at 7 p.m., Monday, June 18 at Effort United Methodist Church. The speaker will be Jennifer Rituper from the Monroe County Conservation District. Her topic will be "Butterflies of the Poconos." Area women are welcome to join the group to learn about butterflies and how they can be attracted to local gardens.The organization is open to all women who wish to make a difference in the West End of Monroe County.
