In a terrific battle with a pet Persian cat, Mrs. Prudence Straw, wife of Assistant Prosecutor Charles Stuart Straw of Lansford, was badly scratched and bitten about the face. The sight of one eye may be temporarily impaired. She was found bleeding profusely by her husband after she had twice fainted in her efforts to shake the vicious cat off. During the struggle, which began in the living room and ended in the cellar, furniture was knocked topsy-turvey. Mrs. Straw said she was carrying her feline, which was extraordinarily large, into the cellar when it turned on her.
