Fur, feathers and scales at PV Public Library

The Panther Valley Public Library, at 117 E. Bertsch St., Lansford, will host a variety of furry, feathery and scaled creatures at its Summer Reading Program for children.

On Tuesday June 26 at 10:15 a.m., Mary Zboray and her therapy dogs, Allie and Maggie, will present a Tail Wagging Tutors program.On Monday, July 9 at 6:15 p.m., the Carbon County Environmental Education Center will present a Birds of Prey program with live birds.On Monday, July 16, Bill Hunsicker and his snake, Monty, will present a program all about snakes.Children enrolled in the six-week Summer Reading Program will earn one coupon for each program they attend.For more information, call the library at (570) 645-3780.
