Stephen J. Daderko, Spokane, Washington, visited his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Steve Daderko, Van Gelder Street, Tamaqua. He brought home with him three jars of volcanic ash from the eruption of Mount St. Helens. Although he lives 300 miles from the volcano, he told his parents he was shoveling ash for three days. He said water sprayed on it would not dissolve it, therefore it had to be mixed with sawdust in order to be shoveled in an easier manner.
