Pfc. Thomas Williams, son of Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Williams, 135 High Street, Jim Thorpe, is home on a 30-day leave from the Philadelphia Naval Hospital where he was treated for wounds sustained on March 8 in Vietnam. The 20-year-old Marine sustained injuries on the chest, back, and right arm when he was struck by shrapnel while serving as a rifleman with a U.S. artillery unit. The Marian High School graduate underwent surgery in the Naval Hospital in Japan and was a patient there for seven weeks.
