Top finishers in a 5K run/walk, sponsored by Marian Catholic High School's FBLA chapter, included: Christine Fannick, female walker; Emily Fannick, women's 15-25 age group; Phil Marzen, men's 15-25 age group; Molly Balliet, women's overall; Jeremy Dormer, men's overall; and Aaron Srinivasan, male walker. The event was held March 31 and began with breakfast, compliments of the Bagel Bunch of New Tripoli, and included a heart healthy lunch provided by Skipper Dippers of Tamaqua. Trophies were donated by Delrose Awards of Lansford. Mrs. Barbara Hunsinger of the Greater Hazleton Health Alliance provided a mini seminar on the importance of a healthy life style and offered tips on establishing a heart healthy routine. Also sponsoring the event were Nestle, ETA, Valley Pharmacy, Valley Athletic, the Boyle Family, the Srinivasan Family, Dr. Vincent Dauchess and Paul Coombe.
