A total of $2,460.82 was raised for the Tamaqua Carbon unit of the American Cancer Society (ACS) by staff, teachers and students of both the West Penn and Rush Elementary Schools during numerous events held throughout the school year. At the end of the combined school's Fun Day, all the students came together to see which class raised the most donations.
