Pocono Mountain Regional police participate with police departments across the country recently with the Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) in the fourth annual National Prescription Drug Take Back Day.

The purpose of the day is to provide a venue for persons who wanted to dispose of unwanted and unused prescription drugs.Pocono police said the response was overwhelming with positive feedback. Pocono police reported they collected over eight pounds of prescription drugs at the collection site.The service is free of charge and anonymous.
