Auditions

Carbon Schuylkill Community Theater is looking for singers, dancers, actors and actresses, high school age and older, to be a part of the energetic cast for its full-length summer musical production of "Little Shop of Horrors."

The show is scheduled to be performed Friday and Saturday, Aug. 3-4.Those auditioning should bring a minimum of 16 bars of music, memorized with accompaniment. It is preferred that singers bring two songs of contrasting style.If you have a monologue prepared, it will be heard at auditions.Please dress in an all black or a solid, dark-colored top as head shots will be taken at the audition. You are also asked to bring a five-to-10 sentence biography, typed or clearly handwritten. Bring a resume if you have one.Auditions will be held at the

H.T.O. Services, LLC office, 50 W. Ridge St., Lansford. The schedule is as follows:• Monday, May 14, 6-8:30 p.m., vocal auditions and head shots.• Tuesday, May 15, 6-8:30 p.m., vocal auditions and head shots.• Thursday, May 17, 6-9 p.m. Call backs: Choreography from 6-7 p.m.; reading from script 7-8:30 p.m.; and vocal harmonies from 8:30-9 p.m.• Friday, May 18 , 6:30 p.m. Read-through for full cast.Those auditioning on either Monday or Tuesday should be prepared for call backs on Thursday and the read-through on Friday.Production crew will be: Zane Bachert, theatrical and technical director; Angela Mosley, music director; Megan Rodgers, choreographer; Jonathan M. Rodgers, costumes.Auditions will be held in an open call fashion and those auditioning are expected to be prepared. Please note rehearsals may be four times a week. Those auditioning are responsible to bring all summer conflicts to auditions. Each person will be granted two absences once the schedule is set.This is a fun, upbeat musical.
