Pocono Mountain Regional police responded to a 9-1-1 call about 9:43 p.m. on Sunday, April 29, at 2304 Beaver Circle, Pocono Summit. The communications center told officers a female caller was reporting that her husband had stabbed her and in turn she stabbed him.Upon arrival officers found James Phelan, 52, and Christine Phelan, 38, both of that address, injured. Both were subsequently placed under arrest for domestic violence.James Phelan was charged with simple assault, harassment, possessing an instrument of crime, tampering with evidence, criminal mischief, and endangering the welfare of a child. Christine Phelan was charged with simple assault, harassment, possessing an instrument of crime. and tampering with evidence.The two were placed in the county prison in Snydersville pending arraignment, police said.
