S.S. Palmer High School Class of 1957 will hold its 55th Class Reunion on June 9, with a family-style dinner at the Blue Ridge Country Club. A social hour with cash bar will begin at 4 p.m. A group photo will be taken, followed by the meal at 5 p.m. For more information, please visit

There will be one sweep of the Palmerton, Aquashicola, and Little Gap areas beginning at 8 a.m.Papers should be bundled and placed within sight of the collectors. They are collecting papers only, no magazines. The shiny inserts are acceptable. They also need grocery-size brown paper bags.Persons missed, or those wishing to dispose of papers, may bring them to the garage across from the church on Fireline Road, which is always open. In case of bad weather, the drive will be held the following Saturday.Community mealA free community meal will be held from 5-6:30 p.m. Tuesday, May 8, at St. John's United Church of Christ, 891 Columbia Ave., Palmerton. They were married during a family dinner on Jan. 1, 2012. Lisa is the granddaughter of Lillian Smith of Palmerton, and daughter of the late Donald Green. The couple resides in Macungie, Pa.
