Firefighters learn importance of confined space training

Volunteers with the Tamaqua Rescue Squad spent time learning the ins and outs of confined space training recently at the Tamaqua firefighter training grounds. Rescuers and firefighters are able to use these skills during a rescue or inspection scenario. Tamaqua Rescue Squad volunteer Ed Boerner is lowered down a training shaft by fellow volunteers Dyllyn Trexler, Quakake, left, and Connor Evans, 17, West Penn. Trexler completed Army boot camp on April 12.
