Trinity Church events

Trinity Lutheran Church, 175, S. Third St., Lehighton, will hold a Service of Healing during the 9 a.m. Sunday, April 29, services. The Service of Healing features prayers, anointing with oil of blessing, and laying on of hands to those who are troubled with physical, emotional, social burdens. It is hoped that all who are sick would be made whole and their burdens lightened for the journey. Sunday Church School for all ages is at 10:15 a.m. The adult class will begin a series of discussion and learning titled "Discipleship and Witnessing." This helps everyone learn how to become comfortable talking to others about faith. All are welcome.The final session for Sunday Church School is May 20. Classes will resume in September.Trinity will host a community Vacation Bible School June 17-21, Sunday through Thursday from 6:30-8:30 p.m. The theme will be: "Operation Overboard. Dare to go Deep with God". It is free and open to children in the community 3 years old through grade six. Registration is necessary. Call the church office at (610) 377-4303 by June 10 to register your child.A Mother-Daughter Tea and Luncheon will be held from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday, May 12, at Luther Hall. The menu features chicken breast as the entrée. Reservations are free to mothers/daughters but necessary in order to prepare the food. RSVP to the church office (610) 377-4303 by May 7.Board openingsThere is an opening on the Lehighton Sewer Authority Board and an opening on the Lehighton Water Authority Board. Letters of interest can be sent to Borough Hall, 1 Constitution Ave., Lehighton, PA 18235, Attention borough secretary. Dead line for submission is May 16.
