Township to gauge support for library in Kidder

Kidder Township Supervisor Mary Farnschlader is spearheading a preliminary survey for residents' enthusiasm for a library. Farnschlader and resident Barbara Franzosa both explained during the Supervisors meeting Thursday night that a Community Survey would be distributed through May to gauge support for a local Library possibly near the Albrightsville Post Office prior to any grant seeking.

Residents in Kidder Township and adjacent Penn Forrest rely solely on the libraries located in the town of Jim Thorpe and White Haven. The survey asks if other services would be used such as computer access, wifi, movies, in addition to volunteer hours and comments.
