The West End Rotary Club will host Monroe County coroner Bob Allen at its breakfast meeting at 7:30 a.m., Thursday, April 12, at the Western Pocono Community Library, Brodheadsville.He will present his view and experience on "A Day in the Life of a Coroner."Family Promise speaksWestern Pocono Women's Club will meet at 7 p.m., Monday, April 16, at Effort Methodist Church. The guest speaker will be Karin Falcone from Family Promise of Monroe County, an organization committed to helping local homeless families achieve permanent housing and lasting independence. Rain dates are the following Saturday. PIC is a small group of volunteers, mostly senior citizens, so help is needed.The group will meet at 7 a.m., at the Chestnuthill Township Municipal Building on Route 715 on those dates, unless there is rain, snow, drizzle or temperatures below 40 degrees.Participants are reminded to wear rugged jeans, boots and a brightly colored shirt.
