Living Last Supper

Effort UMC held its Maundy Service worship service in the form of a living last Supper. The message of that event came from three narrators who told the story of each apostle while those representing the named apostle pantomimed his particular story. Only Jesus spoke as did Judas Iscariot. Communion was then offered the congregation in groups of 12 by the Apostles at their table. Pam Borger directed the presentation and Dan Smale directed the music and the ensemble. The cast, from left, are: Simon the Zealot (Mike McKenzie), Matthew (Mark Shields), James, the son of Zebedee (David Gouger), James the Lesser (Colton Shields), Andrew, (Tom Yorke) Simon Peter(Dustin Foster), Jesus (Ken Edwards), Judas Iscariot (Duane Hubbard), Thomas (Doug Klemm), John (Chad Zamorsky) Thaddeus/Lebbaeus (Wayne Halliday), Philip (Cole Bernier) and Bartholomew/Nathanael (Ray Dorpfeld). The unseen narrators were: Bob Argot, Bob Decker and Wayne Wylie. The ensemble included: Brenda Davis, Stacey Halliday, Steve Johnson, Mike Moretz, Beth Shields, and Brandi Smith.
