LDIC plans events

Lehighton Downtown Initiative Committee will meet at 6 p.m. Thursday, April 12, at the Lehighton Grove, Lehighton. LDIC is planning the Great Lehighton Clean Up, for Earth Day at noon Sunday, April 22; Lehighton Community Days on May 18-19; and Lehighton Bike Night from noon to 8 p.m. Aug. 11.Volunteers are needed to take part in the planning and organizing process. Anyone interested in helping, is asked to attend the meeting.Lehighton residents warnedLehighton Borough is warning residents that posting of yard sale signs or any other type of signs, posters or banners, etc. on utility poles, light posts, sign or sign posts owned by the borough or any other public utility or entity is illegal and subject to a fine per sign regardless of the method of attachment.
