April 5, 1963 Charlie Perich, Bill Carazo and Billy Heydt each win two events to help Palmerton post a 72-23 Lehigh Valley League track win over Slatington. Perich takes first in the 100 and 220, while Heydt cops the shot put and discus. Carazo is tops in both the broad and high jumps. The Blue Bombers, coached by Don Holland, also receive firsts from Wayne Heintzleman (mile) and Charlie Romig (pole vault). The Slaters' only individual win comes from Jim Owens (880).
