The congregation of the Christ Lutheran Church is Elizabethtown raised $641.24 for the Feed The People program based out of Carbon County. Feed The People, which was started in early January, currently provides free meals every first Tuesday from 10:30 a.m. to noon at the Summit Hill Heritage Center, every second Wednesday from 10:30 a.m. to noon at the Trinity Lutheran Church in Lansford, and every fourth Thursday from noon to 1:30 p.m. at the Christ Redeemer Church in Coaldale. Rita Trucios, program director, stated, "Our doors are open to anyone, not just seniors or Carbon county residents." Volunteers stated they are always looking for donations of money or paper products. For more information, people are encouraged to call (570) 657-1480.
