Constance Andrews brought the olden days back to life at the last Eldred Township Historical Society meeting. A born story teller and retired elementary school teacher, she talked about how children use to walk to one-room school houses and the importance of family reunion picnics. She asked if anyone remembered lavalieres, a pendant worn by ladies that had a drop, usually of a stone or a chandelier type of drop. Bloomers and wringer washing machines were other topics of discussion which brought lots of chuckles from the members.
