Zion United Lutheran Church in Brodheadsville will offer the following worship services: Maundy Thursday, April 5, 7:30 p.m.; Good Friday, April 6, 7:30 p.m.; and Easter Sunday, at 6 a.m., and 8 and 10:30 a.m. A breakfast will be served for worshippers between the services, beginning at 8 a.m. There will be no Sunday School.The church's Knit & Crochet group will meet again at 1 p.m., Tuesday, April 10.Living Last SupperEffort United Methodist Church, Merwinsburg Road, Effort, is presenting a Living Last Supper for its Maundy Thursday service at 7 p.m., Thursday, April 5.This musical drama provides a meaningful look at the Last Supper Jesus had with his disciples during that Holy Week.The drama is directed by Pam Borger, with choir director Dan Smale leading an ensemble providing musical accompaniment.A dinner with a variety of breads and soups will be provided at 6 p.m.Other Holy Week services include a Good Friday Near the Cross service at 7 p.m. on April 6, a 7 a.m. Sunrise service Easter morning in the church's Prayer Garden, and two Easter Resurrection services, at 8:30 and 11 a.m.There is no Saturday, April 7, service this week end.For more information call the church at (570) 629-1890. R.I.P.P.E.D. fitness class from 7:15-8:15 p.m., Tuesday, April 10, at the Chestnuthill Park. It is a total body workout for all fitness levels that is fun, safe, doable and extremely effective.
