Argall sued by Ultra Clean Fuels

On April 2, WMPI PTY, LLC (WMPI), doing business as Ultra Clean Fuels, initiated a lawsuit against Volunteers for Argall and Dave Argall in response ads Argall has been running against the Ultra Clean Fuels coal to oil project.

In a series of television ads and direct mail pieces, Volunteers for Argall and Dave Argall have stated that Ultra Clean Fuels' efforts to bring a coal to oil plant to Schuylkill County are a "failure" and that the company received more than $147 million in government money for a "failed" project. Not only are these claims blatantly false, Ultra Clean claims, but inhibit Ultra Clean Fuels' ability to continue with this ongoing project and cast Ultra Clean Fuels in a bad light, making it more difficult to receive approvals and commitments necessary to advance the project."It's wrong that our State Senator, who should be assisting companies in creating jobs, would instead resort to attacking local job creators," said John Rich, President of WMPI. "I have committed myself over the last 10 years to establishing a waste coal to oil fuel facility in Schuylkill County to help create quality jobs for county residents, as well as reduce our dependency on foreign oil. As our Company continues to obtain necessary commitments for this project, we can not allow our name to be slandered in a political smear campaign."
