Hundreds take part in Lansford Easter egg hunt

ANDREW LEIBENGUTH/TIMES NEWS Despite a few raindrops, hundreds of energetic youth cheered as the Easter Bunny arrived via a Lansford Fire Department truck to kickoff the annual Community Easter Egg Hunt and Festivities held at the Ashton Park and Lansford Pool pavilion. Staged by the Lansford Improvement Committee, the event consisted of a prize-filled egg hunt and free hot dogs, snacks and refreshment to egg hunt participants. Also heavily involved with the event were volunteers from the Lansford American Legion, Panther Valley High School and Boyer's Food Market in Lansford. Organizers stated their appreciation to all the volunteers, sponsors and cooperating parents.Families lined the large grassy field adjacent to Ashton Park in anticipation of the egg hunt.
