Denny Seiwell comes home to perform

March 30 is a date to remember for the 1960s graduates of Lehighton High School. A fellow classmate performed at the Mauch Chunk Opera House to an over- flowing capacity crowd. Denny Seiwell, ex-drummer for Paul McCartney's "Wings" was the star performer with his group. Denny graduated from LHS in 1962 and his many classmates came to see the performance. He was in the marching band in high school and numerous old band members with him from that era came out to greet him. He was accompanied to the area from California with his wife Monique of 45 years after the trio performed in the New York City area. Seen with Seiwell, who is seated is, 1962 classmate Walter Fisher. Seiwell's brother Darryl, retired Jim Thorpe band director, performed a number with the trio on his trumpet.
