A Berks County motorcyclist was injured in a crash in Schuylkill County. State police at Frackville said the accident occurred about 9:54 a.m. on Saturday, March 31, along SR443 in East Brunswick Township.

Troopers said David R. Yerkes, 27, of Reading, was operating a 2010 Harley-Davidson cycle eastbound, east of Pine Creek Road, when he lost control. The bike went onto the left berm and came to rest.Yerkes was taken by ambulance to the Reading Hospital for treatment of a broken leg, troopers said. Troopers noted he was wearing a helmet.Also assisting at the scene were volunteers from Orwigsburg and New Ringgold fire companies.
