Argall applauds Senate's action on banning ObamaCare mandate for Pennsylvanians

HARRISBURG - State Sen. David G. Argall (R-29) applauded the Senate's action Wednesday to remove the requirement to purchase health insurance under the federal Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act.

"The federal government requirement in 'ObamaCare' to force families to purchase health insurance is, in my opinion, an overreach of government in our lives," said Argall, who co-sponsored this effort. "Most families in the six-county district which I represent do not want to see more government intrusion in their lives; this legislation is the state's way to block the individual mandate in the President's new federal healthcare law."Senate Bill 10 passed by a margin of 29 to 19, and now moves to the House of Representatives for its consideration.
