Theft, mischief incidents probed

State police at Lehighton reported investigating a theft and several acts of criminal mischief.

The theft occurred at Rick's Truck & Auto Center, located in Lower Towamensing Township, Carbon County.Unknown criminals removed several metal 20 by 20 grates and metal sewer lids from outside the building. The scrap metal is valued at $300. The theft occurred sometime overnight of March 20-21. Richard Balliet, 57, of Palmerton, is the listed victim.The following mischief incidents have been reported.Susan Dunbar, 51, of 231 Center St., Parryville, reported the driver's side door on her vehicle was scratched with an unknown object. The incident occurred on March 24.Richard Eric Fahringer, 42, of 1050 La Montage Drive, Lower Towamensing Township, reported his mailbox was damaged sometime between midnight and 6:30 a.m. on March 23.Betty Lorraine Borger, 84, of 3915 Fireline Rd., Palmerton, Lower Towamensing Township, reported a window on her home was struck by an unknown object sometime between March 15-23.Gerald Risteter, 8744 E. Sherwood Drive, Kunkletown, Polk Township, Monroe County, reported someone smashed the glass cover of the lamp post light in his driveway. The incident occurred sometime between 9 and 10 p.m. on March 16.Anyone with information concerning this incident is asked to call troopers at (610) 377-4270.
