Dorothy Strohl to retire from the library

The Palmerton Area Democratic Club made a donation to the Palmerton Area Library to pay tribute to Dorothy Strohl, who is retiring from the library after 30 years of service.

Dorothy is also a longtime Democratic Committeewoman representing Lower Towamensing Township.The funds will help furnish the new reading and Internet lounge being created on the library's mezzanine which will be called "The Strohl In" in her honor.There will be a reception to honor Dorothy Strohl, to share stories, enjoy refreshments and wish her well in her retirement on Thursday, March 29, 4-6 p.m., at the library. This event is free and open to the public. All are welcome.
