Argall supports measure to exempt Pennsylvania from ObamaCare Provision

HARRISBURG - Senator David G. Argall (R-29) voted to remove the requirement to purchase health insurance under the federal Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act during today's Senate Appropriations Committee meeting.

"Constituents from the 29th senatorial District overwhelmingly disapprove of President Obama's individual mandate in the health care plan that Congress passed two years ago," said Argall. "The President's health care legislation was over 2,300 pages and had minimal public input. This bill would give Pennsylvanians a chance to share their opinion on the legislation and remove an expensive federal mandate.""Under ObamaCare, Pennsylvania families will be fined over $2,000 for not purchasing health insurance by 2016," added Argall.Senate Bill 10 passed by a margin of 16 to 10, and now moves to the Floor of the Senate for its consideration.
