ANDREW LEIBENGUTH/TIMES NEWS Luckily, no one suffered serious injuries following a two vehicle crash that occurred just before 8 a.m. today in Tamaqua. Reportedly, the crash occurred when the driver of a medical transport van pulled out from a side road off of SR209, near the old MAFF Motors, and into the path of a Chevy Blazer driving east on SR209. Traffic was backed up while the car and debris was removed. About 60 feet of westbound guard rail was raised during the impact. A young boy was also in the Blazer during the impact. Everyone involved was wearing a seatbelt. Responding were Tamaqua Police and Tamaqua Ambulance. A passing firefighter from the Hometown Fire Company assisted police with traffic control.
