State police at Fern Ridge reported investigating a motorcycle crash about 3:16 p.m. on Sunday, March 18, along SR903 at Smith Road, in Penn Forest Township, Carbon County.

Troopers said Scott Wilderson, 38, of Blakeslee, was operating a 2008 Yamaha Venture bike northbound and approaching Smith Road when he attempted to go around another vehicle that was making a left turn. As he went around the vehicle he encountered another vehicle turning left from the opposite lane.No collision occurred by Wilderson's bike landed in a grassy area nearby. A passenger, Dayna-Ann M. Fritsch, 35, of Blakeslee, was treated at the scene by ambulance personnel. The bike had to be towed from the scene.
