Lansford man injured in crash

Robert Snyder Jr. of Lansford was moved from ambulance to be transported via PennSTAR helicopter to Lehigh Valley Hospital Sunday after a motor vehicle accident at the intersection of Stock Street (Route 54) and 10th Avenue in Nesquehoning. Borough police said Snyder was traveling east on Route 54, lost control of his red 1997 Subaru Legacy and struck a PPL pole. Police added that vehicle failure was probably to blame. Also responding were Nesquehoning and Hauto firefighters, Nesquehoning ambulance and Lehighton Ambulance. Nesquehoning Police Chief Sean Smith is the investigating officer.
