More than 225 people gathered at the Lansford AMVETS Post Home to carry on the traditions of early Irish settlers to the Panther Valley. Edward "Ecker" McCullion of Summit Hill, noted Irish tenor, was the toast of the town. McCullion received the 42nd annual Shamrock Award from Panther Valley Irish-American Association, presented by President Michael G. Furey.
