Pocono-Lehigh Romance Writers (PLRW) will hold its April meeting at 10 a.m., Saturday, April 14 at the Palmer Township branch of the Easton Area Public Library, 1 Weller Place, Palmer Township.

Local author, Judi Fennell, will conduct a two-hour workshop entitled "Novel in a Nutshell," that will review the elements necessary to make a story work in today's market and give it something extra.Fennell is a PRISM Award and Golden Leaf Award-winning author, Judi Fennell. She had her nose in a book and her head in some celestial realm all her life, including those early years when her mom would exhort her to "get outside!" instead of watching Bewitched or I Dream of Jeannie on television. So she did right into Dad's hammock with her Nancy Drew books. These days she's more likely to have her nose in her laptop and her head (and the rest of her body) at her favorite writing spot, but she's still reading, whether it be her latest manuscript or friends' books.Author of "fairy tales with a twist," pun-filled, tongue-in-cheek, contemporary paranormal romances about Mermen and the Humans who love them: In Over Her Head, Wild Blue Under, and Catch of a Lifetime, and her new Bottled Magic series: I Dream of Genies, Genie Knows Best, and Magic Gone Wild, Fennell enjoys hearing from her readers.
