A school bus rolled over during a crash in Schuylkill County. State police at Frackville said the incident occurred about 1:50 p.m. on Monday, March 12, along Valley Hill Road, near Turnpike Road, in Butler Township.
Troopers said Patti K. Clark, Ashland, was operating a 2001 Freightliner school bus, owned by Richards Transportation, eastbound when she failed to negotiate a right curve. The bus went onto the berm and struck an embankment which caused it to roll over onto its right side. The bus came to rest facing east partially on the westbound lane. No students were on the bus at the time, according to officials of the North Schuylkill School District. Clark was en route to pick up students at the time.Clark was not injured. She was cited for driving on roadways laned for traffic. The investigation into the crash is continuing, troopers added.
