Sale of property

An attempt to stop the sale of an abandoned and blythed property by Foster Township supervisors was denied by Judge John Domalakes, who ruled the township to convey free and clear of all liens and encumbrances the property at 78 Hill Road, Foster Township, to Joseph J. Roperto.Domalakes also ordered Roperto to rehabilitate the property to the satisfaction of the Abandoned and Blighted Property Conservation Act within two and one-half years from the date of the settlement and to transfer the property to the tax list.Ruled sex predatorJoseph Curry, 27, Schuylkill Haven, who had pleaded guilty to sexually abusing an eight year old child was sentenced by Judge Cyrus Palmer Dolbin, after being ruled a sexually violent predator, to serve seven to 21 years in a state correctional facility and the court recommended the defendant receive counseling while in the prison.He entered a gulty plea last Nov. 12 to charges of aggravated indecent assault, statutory sexual assault, endangering welfare of a child and corruption of minors. He was cited by Schuylkill Haven Patrolman David T. George, on Feb. 28, 2011.Divorces grantedKim E. Millee was granted a divorce from Nicholas J. Millee, both of Pine Grove. They were married Feb. 28, 2004.William Lindner was granted a divorce from Christa Lindner, both of Pottsville. They were married April 21, 2007.Revoke ARDJoseph Victor Kolasa, 37, Mount Carmel, was removed by Senior Judge D. Michael Stine from the Accelerated Rehabilative Disposition (ARD) probation program.He now has to stand trial on a charge of driving under the influence (DUI) of alcohol. Had he completed a 12 months probation while in the program his record would have been cleared. He was placed in the program last April. Kolasa was cited by Trooper Thomas Hornung on Nov. 12, 2010, when stopped on SR183 in North Manheim Township.
