Kidder police to be part of program

Kidder Township police will participate in statewide aggressive-driving enforcement activities, which will be held from March 19 through April 29.

The enforcement will be conducted on SR903 and other township roads.State law enforcement authorities remind motorists to keep their distance from aggressive drivers who exhibit behaviors such as speeding, tailgating and running red lights.More than 320 municipal police departments and the state police will participate in the program.Participating police departments wrote 142,022 aggressive-driving related citations in 2011.The program is part of the state Aggressive Driving Enforcement and Education Project funded by the state department of transportation with the use of $2.5 million in federal funds from the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration.Visit
