A Carbon County man is facing a charge of simple assault for an incident that was reported on Friday, March 1, about 10:40 p.m.

State police at Lehighton said troopers were called to 16 Cornell Ave., Lower Towamensing Township, for a domestic disturbance.Troopers allege that Keith Weaver, 52, of Palmerton, punched a 50-year-old female in the mouth during the dispute.He was charged and arraigned before a district judge. He was released on $5,000 ROR bail.
