Stephen Kanuch was named "Elk of the Year" during a program held at the Lansford Elk's Lodge No. 1337, Lansford. About 160 people attended the program. In addition to the Elk of the Year award, hewas honored also with the presentation of the Golden Antler Award by the Grand Lodge for his loyalty and service. Kanuch is a retired miner with the Lehigh Navigation Coal Company. He is a former jury commissioner and also a former trustee in his church.
