Two Lehighton male juveniles had charges of possession of a weapon on school property filed against them with the Carbon County Office of Juvenile Probation. Lehighton police said the filings were the result of two separate incidents.

On Feb. 13 a witness informed school authorities of a student sending pictures of a gun to a cell phone that he had planned to bring to school. On Feb. 14 upon the student's arrival at school a gunlighter and a knife were found in his book bag, police said.Later on Feb. 14 school authorities were informed by a student that another student had threatened to bring a knife to school due to a "monkey in the middle" game that turned physical the prior day.The student was searched and a knife was found in his pants pocket.
