State police at Fern Ridge are investigating a burglary and a theft incident in recent days.

The break-in occurred at the residence of Sandra Jean Hernandez, 46, of 5-37 Rocky Mountain Drive, in Chestnuthill Township, Monroe County. Entry was gained by breaking a kitchen window. Removed from the home was a 42-inch flat screen television, an Xbox, a radio, jewelry and about $945 in cash.The entry occurred sometime between 10:30 a.m. and 6:30 p.m. on Thursday, Feb. 9.The theft was reported by Heidi A. Depuy, 25, of Brodheadsville. She reported her 1999 GMC Jimmy was entered while parked at the Landmark Building, located along SR209, in Chestnuthill Township. Removed from the unlocked vehicle was a case containing 40 music CDs valued at $200. The incident occurred sometime between midnight and 9 a.m. on Feb. 6.Anyone with information concerning either incident is asked to call troopers at (570) 646-2271.
