State police at Fern Ridge are investigating a hit-and-run accident that occurred about 3:30 p.m. on Monday, Feb. 13, along Toll Road in Chestnuthill Township, Monroe County.

Troopers said Richard H. Jones, 69, of Effort, was driving a 2004 BMW 330XI northbound when a silver van passed him on the left.The van made contact with the driver's side fender of the BMW as it traveled back into the northbound lane.The driver of the van then left the scene.Jones was not injured. The type of van or registration was not obtained by the victim, troopers said.
