Margaret and Joseph Romano of Tamaqua recently celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary.

They were married on Jan. 20, 1962 by the Rev. Sheenin at St. Jerome's Roman Catholic Church in Tamaqua.Mrs. Romano is the daughter of Peggy Kubilus of Tamaqua and the late Joseph Kubilus.Her husband is the son of the late Rose and Angelo Romano.They have three children: Teresa Kester of Lavonia, Ga.; Michelle and her husband Duane Barron of Tamaqua; and Marie and her husband John Sottosanti of Temple, Pa.They have five grandchildren: Kyle Kester, Jerome Barron, Erika Barron, Nico Sottosanti and Dominique Sottosanti.A family dinner in honor of the couple was held at LaDolce Casa in Tamaqua.
