The Tamaqua Seniors met Feb. 2 at the Tamaqua Community Center with 84 members and one guest, Joanne Ross, in attendance.Rose Vallee provided the invocation, entitled "Point of View." Reports were also offered by Vice President Nancy Gerber and secretary Joan Anne Garber.Jayne Myers was added to the sick list and Mary Herbig is recuperating at home following a hospitalization.The meeting concluded with cards and social games.The group meets every Thursday, at 1 p.m., at the community center. Anyone 55 or older is welcome to join. The center is handicap accessible.WP softballRegistration for West Penn Girls Softball will be held Feb. 11, 9 a.m. to noon, at the West Penn Township Municipal Building. Cheryl Moore will officiate at the 9 a.m. worship service this Boy Scout Sunday in St. Peter's Union Church, Mantzville. The service will include a Joyous Noise Offering for the Children's Home of Easton.
