Slatington Lions Club

The Slatington Lions Club announced that Christmas Tree sales for 2011 were as follows: 675 trees purchased; 651 of which were sold, for a total profit in excess of $7,000. The combined time for sales was 754 hours.Tree elves were Doug Heckman, Jack Follweiler, Les Glanz, Claude Fenstermaker and Mayor Walter Nidermeyer.The club is grateful to the 24 members and all others who helped. This was huge benefit, since members did not have to work extended hours. More help is always needed.A meeting at the Moose was held last evening. The speaker was Chris Koch, Webelos Leader, Cub Scout Pack 58.Happy Birthday to John Babyak (Feb. 5); Danny Ehrich Jr., (Feb. 5); Charles Sule (Feb. 6); and Frank Gnas (Feb. 9).
