Stuck trucks, a common sight in Delano

Despite multiple posted signs restricting vehicles over 40 feet from traveling on Grier Avenue (SR1017), trucks still continue through and get stuck on the steep, sharp incline.

ANDREW LEIBENGUTH/TIMES NEWS Pictured late last night is a tractor trailer that got stuck while traveling on Grier Avenue (SR1017) at the "horseshoe curve" in Delano. Even though there are multiple signs posted restricting vehicles over 40 feet from traveling on the road, tractor trailer drivers still wind up getting stuck on the steep and sharp curve. Only a few hours before this incident, the driver of a pickup truck flipped his truck after taking the sharp turn too tight. The driver of the tractor trailer stated that larger signs should be put up. Volunteers from the Delano and Ryan Township fire companies responded and closed the road during both incidents. No injuries were reported in either incident.
